I am a BBC Producer /Director working in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. I am producing a series of educational programs about the market economy and business for transmission in Uzbekistan as part of a European Union aid initiative.
People here are facing considerable difficulties in raising credit or loans as start-up capital for their small businesses and are very interested to know more about how Grameen works. The Government is presently reviewing legislation on micro-credit schemes and a number of people are anxious to illustrate the success of your scheme and hopefully introduce a similar system.
I would be extremely grateful if you could provide us with any information about Grameen and advise us, if there is any archive or library footage available anywhere.
