NEW YEAR. The floods of 1998 had devastated millions of poor households
in Bangladesh. But the people have shown great resilience and courage in
coping with a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion. Grameen Bank
had stood by the side of its flood affected members at the moment of their
greatest need. The Bank pledges to ensure their rehabilitation.
